Objective: To inspire service in the public interest

Goal: To create a sustainable philanthropic program that will positively impact the communities within the serviceable area of the Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  This program will expand the brand of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. through its charitable giving initiatives.

Sabrina's Place

Brothers are encouraged to make a financial contribution to EP KARES during the Officers Workshop to support this impactful organization and the families it serves.

Overview:

Sabrina’s Place, located in Roanoke, Virginia, is a Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Center serving parents and children throughout Southwest Virginia. The program provides a safe environment for families impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, stalking, or child abuse to conduct supervised visitations and exchanges of children.

Programs & Services:

Free supervised visitation and safe child exchange services
Separate parking areas, entrances, exits, and waiting areas for parents
Security provided by off-duty law enforcement officers
Services available through court orders, domestic violence agencies, mental health professionals, mediators, attorneys, or direct requests from families
Impact:

Sabrina’s Place helps protect children and families during some of their most vulnerable moments by providing a secure, structured environment for visitation and child exchanges. The program relies primarily on local funding, foundation grants, and contributions from individuals and businesses to continue providing these services.
